Location
Staying at The Vidella Hotel, you will be ideally situated close enough to walk to the lively and vibrant centre, without being in the hustle and bustle of town. You can reach the sea front within 100 yards and The North Pier, Funny Girls, shops, restaurants, pubs, bus and train stations are within 400 yards. The Winter Gardens and Blackpool Tower are just a little further – within 800 yards. We are always available to point you in the right direction, recommend places to visit or offer discounts.
If you can find the sea at Blackpool, you shouldn’t have any trouble in finding The Vidella Hotel. Here are the directions from the M55.

- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Yeadon Way Flyover

- Go though 2 roundabouts onto Seasiders Way

- Go through lights (Pass Blackpool Football Ground)

- Go through 2 roundabouts
- 0.9 miles
- Continue on Spine Rd (the road directly in front that goes through the car park!)

- Turn left at A5099/Central Dr (one way)

- Turn left at A5099/ New Bonny St

- Turn right at A584/Promenade
- 0.3 miles
- Pass The Tower and The North Pier

- Turn right at Cocker Square

- Turn left at Dickson Road

However since Blackpool Promenade has been regenerated and become much more pedestrian friendly, it is usually much quicker to avoid Blackpool Promenade altogether.
PARKING
We have five free parking spaces on a first come first serve basis. You can call us on 01253 621 201 to check the likely availability of these on your visit to Blackpool. There is also free parking on the street opposite (Yates Street), the street adjacent (Cocker Street – November 10th to Good Friday only), Cocker Square, the street behind (General Street) and 100 yards down our road (Dickson Road). We wouldn’t expect you to remember all these and there are some restrictions on the streets, so please ask at reception and we’ll guide you to the nearest spaces. Likewise, if you are a blue badge holder then please ask, as some areas you use the clock and others just the badge. There is also a pay and display behind the hotel. 24 hours = £5. 48 hours = £6 and then every additional 24 hours is £3.

- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Preston New Road/A583
- 2.2 miles
- Pass McDonalds and KFC. Continue through the next traffic lights and turn right at the next set immediately afterwards (at CLS Furniture) onto Whitegate Drive/A583.
- 1 mile
- Pass Belle Vue pub and straight over next traffic lights. Before the next set of lights, you’ll see a sign for “Town Centre, A583, North Railway Station”. Bear slight left on feeder road before the lights at Number 3 pub. Onto Church Street.
- 0.4 miles
- Turn right onto Cookson Street/A586. Continue to the end of this one way street to a T-junction. Get into the right hand lane.
- 0.2 miles
- Turn left onto Talbot Road/A586. (Although you are turning left, the right hand gives you a better position.)
- 50 yards
- Turn immediately right (Wilkinson’s Store is on your right hand side.) This is our street. Pass Funny Girls. Keep left when the road becomes two lanes.

- We are the first hotel on the left. You can pull up on the single yellow line to check in and unload, and we can direct you to the nearest parking available.

Directions from the Train Station:
- Walking from Blackpool North Station should take 5 minutes even with luggage. Only 300 yards.

- Exit the train car park up the ramp with the cars. This will bring you up to Springfield Road, which is a one way street. Do not use the pedestrian subway.

- Go straight ahead, against the traffic.

- Turn right onto Dickson Road. Pass Ladbrokes. Pass the Duke Of York pub.
- 200 yards
- We are on the left hand side after the zebra crossing.

- Getting into a taxi means you’ll have to go around the one-way system so could be up to £5.
